Sandy Fork

Sandy Fork School was a one-room schoolhouse near the Hale’s Ford community in northeastern Franklin County. It was built in 1874, making it one of the earliest public schools in Franklin County. It was built on a stone foundation, and the porch was eight feet wide. This school closed in 1913. The photograph below has been doctored by some unknown hand.
