Mountain Top School

Mountain Top School was a one-room schoolhouse for white students located in the Blackwater district of Franklin County. The school was built on a concrete foundation, and it was heated with a coal stove. The building did not have electricity, running water, or indoor restrooms. Clementime Crawford and Vivian Smith were teachers at the school. The building was no longer in use by 1936.
