Maple Grove School
Maple Grove School was a two-room schoolhouse for white students located near the Crossroads community in western Franklin County. The school was built on a stone foundation, and it was heated with a stove. The building did not have electricity, running water, or indoor restrooms. It was located near Shively’s store. Geneva Perdue, Anis Thomas, and Blanche Pinckard were teachers at the school.
