Boones Mill School

Boones Mill School was a one-room schoolhouse for black students. The school was built on a concrete foundation, and it was heated with a stove. The building did not have electricity, running water, or indoor restrooms. Estelle Johnson and E. A. Woods were teachers at the school. Note that the nearby school for white students was also known as “Boones Mill School.”
