Bleak Hill School

Bleak Hill School was a one-room schoolhouse for white students in the Blue Ridge district of Franklin County. Uniquely, it was built on a brick foundation. The school did not have electricity, running water, or indoor restrooms. The building is still standing, and was recently renovated.
