Blackwater School
Blackwater School was a one-room schoolhouse for African-American students near the Glade Hill community in eastern Franklin County. It was built on a concrete foundation, and it was heated with a stove. The building did not have electricity, running water, or indoor restrooms. There was a different school for white students near the Callaway community that was also called Blackwater.
