Bethany School

Bethany School was a one-room schoolhouse for white students located in the Blackwater district of Franklin County. The school was built on a stone foundation about a mile north of Callaway, and it was heated with a stove. It did not have electricity, running water, or indoor restrooms. Hartie Price and Lucille Jamison served as teachers.
