English School / Doe Run School
English School was a two-room schoolhouse for white students in the Snow Creek district of Franklin County. It was built in the early 1920s, and it was later renamed Doe Run School. Mayme D. Hodges, Aurie Sutherland, Mabel Angle, Louise Cassell, Miss Houston, and Genna Perdue all served as teachers at the school.
