Briar Mountain School
Briar Mountain School was a one-room schoolhouse for white students in the Blue Ridge district of Franklin County. Mayshie Luke and Mary Zeiglar both served as teachers at the school. When visiting insurance agents tried to find the mountain in 1937, they deemed the school inaccessible.
