Indian Ridge School
Indian Ridge School was a one-room schoolhouse for white students located in the Gill’s Creek district of Franklin County. The school was built on a stone foundation, and it was heated with a stove. The building did not have electricity, running water, or indoor restrooms. Note that there was a nearby school for African American students that was also known as Indian Ridge School.
